Join us for an afternoon with food and music honoring the life and environmental work of Melanie Winter.
Guest speakers will include:
Ed Begley Jr., actor, author, and environmental advocate and Amanda Begley, associate director of watershed health, TreePeople
Nurit Katz, chief sustainability officer at UCLA and LADWP commissioner
Nithya Raman, LA City Councilmember
Nancy Sutley, deputy mayor of energy and sustainability, City of LA
At Melanie’s request, proceeds will benefit the Sustainability Alliance’s programs, outreach, and advocacy. They will also go to repair a bench at Rio de Los Angeles State Park, which she helped create, and host The River Project website on the Alliance’s site.
