Could they help get money out of politics?

Mike Draskovic and Tom Latkowski, both with Los Angeles for Democracy Vouchers, will join us to share a provocative proposal that has been tested in Seattle and that might help create a level playing field for candidates and engage more stakeholders in the political process. Learn more about the idea, what vouchers could mean for sustainability, and how we might bring them to LA.

Also, we'll vote on two motions connected to building decarbonization:

1) Building decarbonizationCouncil File 21-1463 (Koretz, Krekorian, and Raman), which our energy committee recommends we support. Our draft fact sheet (complete with sample community impact statement) is here

You can see ABC 7's coverage here

2) Building decarbonization (yep, again!!), Council File 22-0151 (Harris-Dawson, Koretz, Martinez, O'Farrell, and Raman), which our energy committee also recommends we support. Our draft fact sheet is here.

Spectrum News 1 reported on it here.

You can view our energy committee minutes (check out January 18 and February 15) here

And please help us spread the word! We're on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

A recording of the event is on our YouTube channel.

Will you come?
