In 2021 the Sustainability Alliance took a position against the motion in Council File 21-0002-S106 (Koretz), which sought to maintain parking minimums (required minimums for the number of off-street parking spaces) near transit. Those parking minimums have since been eliminated. Now there is a motion in Council File 25-0642 (Blumenfield, Raman) asking to explore extending the elimination of parking minimums citywide. Our two speakers are in support of eliminating parking minimums (those opposed who we have invited are either unavailable or have not responded), but we hope to have a robust conversation regardless.
