YOUR LA Trees—

What you may not realize. . .

The Neighborhood Council Sustainability Alliance is kicking off regular monthly meetings! Come join our inaugural monthly meeting to find out about the work of our committees, our advocacy, and our Green New Deal toolkit for neighborhood councils, as well as to share best practices for championing sustainability in your neighborhood.

And our focus will be trees! Public health requires mature trees, many more than we currently enjoy—yet our under-populated urban forest gets whittled away every day due to lack of public awareness, as well as outdated policies and practices that undermine our existing tree canopy.

Join Joanne D’Antonio, NCSA Trees Committee Chair, and Diana Nicole, science advisor to the Trees Committee and ecological landscape professional, to learn how you and your neighborhood council can support positive efforts to retain and maintain our Los Angeles trees.
