In 2023, the state legislature passed a law reversing a previous law preventing cities from banning artificial turf on residential property, and it's been a wild ride. In June, Councilmember Blumenfield introduced a motion, in 24-0602, and he will join us to discuss that motion and its journey. Then we will discuss the challenges with artificial turf to our health and to the health of our planet, in addition to how we can make the transition back to natural turf when the City is on a tight budget.
